There will be no class during Douglas County School District's fall break (Oct 26) or on Thanksgiving, or any snow days the district delcares. There IS class on teacher workdays or other short breaks. The teacher has the right to cancel a class due to illness or other unforseen circumstances, without refund or reschedule (although there is an extra week before winter break that will be used as a make up lesson if needed). I understand that I am responsible for the full tuition, $225 due Aug 24th at the first class, payable in cash, check, card, venmo, or PayPal. Signing up late in the semester does not result in a lower tution, but I will offer one free private lesson to get the student up to speed with the rest of the class. I understand that my student must practice on a piano or keyboard at home, abt 120 min/week. Keyboards must have touch sensitivity and a damper/sustain pedal. My student may also be responsible for written and/or online assignments that must be turned in before class each week. All printed materials and music books are provided. Assignments and progress can be monitored in the student's online account. If you will miss a week, consult the online account for make up work. Remember, the class moves on even if you don't practice or do your homework. If your student is struggling, please reach out to your teacher as soon as possible. A habit of incomplete work and/or insufficient practice time at home may result in being dropped from the class at the teacher's discretion without refund. No student who is showing effort and even minimal progress will be dropped, but we don't want have a student fall further and further behind and end up feeling discouraged or inadequate, potentially turning them off of music altogether. I understand that parents and siblings are NOT allowed to stay for the lesson due to space constraints and to help the other students feel comfortable as performing for the class is a regular part of the curriculum. If you have any questions about what is going on during class, please see the student's online account or you may call or text your teacher. I agree to all other applicable policies as outlined at music.shannamae.com. $25 Materials FeeThis does not count towards tution, which is $225 and due at the first class, but does cover the cost of books and other materialsCredit / Debit Card *SubmitPlease do not fill in this field.
